Gear Care: How to Keep Your Low Summit Tee in Peak Condition
You bought a premium, garment-dyed tee. To keep that vintage look and rugged feel for years of adventure, follow these trail rules:
- The "Solo Trek" (First Wash): Because of our unique garment-dye process, this shirt may bleed a little pigment the first time it hits the water. Wash it solo or with like-colors for its first trip through the machine.
- Inside Out is In: Always flip your tee inside out before washing. It protects the graphic from the "drama" of the agitator and keeps the print looking sharp.
- Keep it Chill: Use cold water and a mild detergent. Hot water is for coffee, not your gear.
- Skip the Bleach: Harsh chemicals are the enemy of these earthy pigments. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners to keep the fabric's natural texture intact.
- Low Heat or Fresh Air: Tumble dry on low heat or, better yet, hang it up to air dry. If you use a dryer, pull it out promptly to skip the wrinkles.
- Ironing 101: If you’re a "crisp tee" kind of person, only iron inside out on low heat. Never run a hot iron directly over the design—it’s the fastest way to ruin a summit view.
